A sum of parts was born from discussions with the directors of Ownworld an Australian Furniture company that services the Australian A&D market. They had identified a gap in their range for a flexible modular sofa system that could be used in commercial interior environments and that provided Architects and designers the freedom to create a number of configurations to suit various applications.

Having designed furniture previously and the vast experience with designing custom pieces over the years we embarked on the A_SOP journey. The decision to proceed with a rectilinear shape rather than curves has allowed the flexibility for countless combinations. The product brochure has over 300 options with many more possibilities, comprising 4 seat modules, 4 back modules, 6 arm modules and a connecting corner module for modular configurations the options are literally endless. The Australian designed and manufactured A_SOP sofa was launched in 2023 and available for purchase through Ownworld.
