VIABUZZUNO SHOWROOM
Assisting the Australian owner of Viabizzuno lighting plan their new showroom in Surry Hills was an unusual and welcome opportunity. The international business usually undertakes a large part of the fitout design but was at the time stretched for capacity with a number of new showrooms being undertaken around the world.
Working closely with the owner we developed the spatial planning to work with their operational needs. The move was approached with the intent to re-use as much of the custom Viabizzuno shop fittings from the previous fit out as possible. To further cement the sustainable intent an existing stone travertine floor was uncovered by accident that had been painted over in a previous iteration of the space.
New partition walls and joinery was only added where necessary to carve up the large volume of showroom space leaving the quality Italian lighting product the star of the show.
Due to lead times for custom kitchens out of Europe we designed a kitchen in keeping with the essence of the brand that was manufactured locally.
The palette in black and white remains on point with the international Viabizzuno brand.
